"Great food, reasonably priced, too.”
This being one of the most popular restaurants in Springdale, reservation is recommended. The restaurant itself is small-ish but very nice, with a patio.
2 appetizers, 3 entrees, 1 dessert, 2 espressos and 1 bottle of wine ended up costing less than 200 bucks, so it's not cheap but reasonable. Especially considering the quality of the ingredients and the originality of the dishes.

"If you are only eating out on a road trip Parallel 88 should be it!"
We live in Park City, Utah and spent 3 days camping in Zion. We decided to splurge and have a nice dinner away from the campsite. Wow....what a lovely experience and treat. The dining experience was equal(actually better than most) to anything in Park City or Salt Lake. Great service, food and views. Expensive, but worth it. For once, I felt like I got what I paid for..."

"Great fine dining, family friendly."
Our group of eight had a wonderful dinner at parallel 88. It was after sunset, so we weren't able to enjoy the views from the large windows, but we enjoyed the photography on the walls. Our four kids, ages 7-12, were with us, and enjoyed the beef tips & mashed potatoes kids option. Our sea scallops, beef & shrimp appetizers were great-tender & flavorful, with delicious sauces. My pork tenderloin special was excellent, with a lovely fennel sauce, tender & tasty. The filet mignon & lamb entrees were also excellent. Dessert was delicious & fun -a creme brulee "sampler" with passionfruit, curry, red pepper, & vanilla portions, and a wonderful chocolate cake. The wine list was very nice & reasonably priced-our pinot suggested by our server went really well with all of our entrees. Service was excellent. We will definitely return here the next time we visit Zion.

"The Best food in Utah.”
We were pleasantly surprised at the fantastic food at this restaurant. My husband remarked that it was the best food he has experienced in Utah. The staff was well informed and attentive. The food beautifully prepared in a very timely manner. We enjoyed speaking with the Chef. We loved it!

"True gourmet experience - incredible!”
What a surprising gem in this cute outdoorsy town. We were prepared to sustain life on local hamburgers, when fellow hikers told us about this place. It's a real boutique restaurant environment. The scallops and the desert was out of this world. Wish we tried all appetizers. Really sorry we didn't stay at the Driftwood lodge (if it's anything like the restaurant, met the owners, extremely pleasant Europeans, who seemed to be passionate about this place. Would live to come back and stay at Driftwood. Would have dinner at the restaurant every night.

"Great food, wonderful view."
This restaurant has got to be one of the best in all of Utah if not all of the West Coast. We were on a car rally throughout Southern Utah. I called to make arrangements for 22 people for dinner. Chef Jeff Crosland, the owner, said he would take care of it, he would come up with something nice. That was the last I heard from him. When we arrived we were set up on the patio with Zion National Park as the backdrop. The food was wonderful, the service was flawless. The meal included an appetizer, choice of main course and dessert. It was a perfect evening. Chef Jeff packed us lunches for the next day that were also wonderful.
If you in the area it is definitely worth the stop. They have a nice bar, if you need to wait. They only serve wine or beer, but they have a great wine list.
If you are looking for a beautiful wedding spot for a small wedding, this would be a great spot. The backdrop is beautiful and the food wonderful!

"Delicious!"
We decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner and we definitely got that here. We ate outside with the mountain view as a backdrop and it could not have been more beautiful. Our food was incredible, the service was friendly (Thanks, Jeff!), and the atmosphere was elegant, yet comfortable. We will definitely eat here again.

"Best dinner our trip by far and excellent value."
Million dollar view and food nearly matched it.
Our last night of a weeklong trip and this place could be in San Francisco or New York and compare well. It cost half what we paid in Moab for dinner and was much more innovative and flavorful. We're going to try breakfast there tomorrow. Yum!

"Fabulous view, service and food."
We spent 2 nights in Springdale at the wonderful Desert Pearl Inn. We were so happy that the Parallel 88 was recommended to us. We had a completely wonderful and somewhat unexpected experience. The food was beautifully presented and very imaginative and delicious. The service was perfect -- made you feel very comfortable and of course there are no words to describe the setting of the restaurant -- beyond spectacular!! The owner/chef came out to talk with us and was so pleasant.
The experience was so special we decided to go back for breakfast which was also delicious but a little more limited and ordinary choices.Highly recommend this restaurant.

"Great meal, great setting, great service."
Found out about Parallel Eighty-Eight online, and read good reviews so had high expectations. The experience exceeded those expectations on all ways. Our waiter (Jeff) was professional, engaging and spot on in his recommendations. The menu items were those which, at other places, would look like they are trying too hard. But here, everything worked, in fact was excellent. The setting and service were great to match. Its fully priced but worth a trip. "Excellent Food."
Everything seems to be made fresh to order.Being a vegetarian, I have not come to expect much when travelling. I had a pasta dish not expecting much beyond it being a safe choice, but it was excellent with great attention to detail to every ingredient. One dining companion was a picky eater and they accepted all his requests for substitutions for the vegetables and grains that came with the dish and he enjoyed his lamb. The other two had a specail trio of fish and enjoyed it immensly. Also, all the desserts seemed to be made on premises and were different and excellent.

"The most wonderful patio dining we ever had."
A perfect night in September to sit outside and enjoy the view of the beautiful mountains. Our dinner was excellent in every way and the wines superb. The menu is what you would expect in a big city with very fine restaurants but this was in Springdale and we were more than delighted with out experience. It's a gem of a place with wonderful chef/staff...just go!

"One of the best experiences we have had in a lifetime."
We had made reservations in advance for "The Watchman Experience" ... which is a private table set outside, under a tree with sparkling lanterns, white tablecloth, candles, local flowers, and a spectacular view of the Watchman and surrounding red rocks of Zion Canyon. We spent hours at our leisurely and incredibly delicious dinner (in our case, while a warm gentle rain fell around us -- we were protected by a large umbrella), savoring the delicious food and the devoted attention of the wait staff and chef (whom we'd chatted with earlier in the week, when he'd called to get a feel for our favorite foods and interest in experimentation). This was truly the experience of a lifetime, and quite reasonably priced, too (including wine pairings)! At the end, we were presented with a typed list of the foods we were pampered with, which I will paste in our scrapbook as a treasured memory. I recommend this experience for everyone who has a chance to travel to Springdale, Utah.
Course 1: Heirloom tomatoes [three colors!] layered with Black Mission figs, basil, Hawaiian red clay sea salts, finished with tomato water and basil-infused grapeseed oil.
Course 2: Panko-breaded shallot cups over goat cheese and sweet potato mousse [to die for!], red wine demi-glaze and lavender skewered quail breast OR asparagus and carrot [for me, the fish-etarian], finished with cauliflower mousse.
Course 3: Pan-seared escalar OR scallop, served atop sauteed aromatic vegetables and finished with a classic caper beurre blanc.
Course 4: Hearts of palm in wasabi vinaigrette with yellow beets [delicately grilled!] and prickly pear fruit puree.
Course 5: Red and black quinoa and kamut cake and vegetable "lasagne," cottage cheese, spinach, fire-roasted tomato finished with Thai purple basil OR roasted duck breast over goat cheese and sweet potato mousse, finished with blueberry gastrique.
Desserts: A quadrology of creme brulees (cinnamon, cayenne, Chinese five spice, and curry) paired with a tower of chocolate textures [also to die for] and fresh strawberries.
Wine pairings: Atrea "the Choir" (a rousson and viognier blend); Kenneth Volk Pinot Noir, Londer Pinot Noir; 10-year tawny port.

"First class AND approachable and fun.”
The setting is spectacular--sit outside if weather permits. The food is perfectly prepared by Chef Jeff and presented by a professional waitstaff. We were there sort of off season but we still made reservations--it is a courtesy to the chef.
